Macedonian economy to decline this year 1.6 percent of GDP

Macedonia next year will have the greatest growth of all countries in the region. According to the forecast of the EBRD in 2010 the Macedonian GDP will increase by 2%.

This year the bank predicts that the economy will decline 1.6%.
Only Albania of all countries in the region will register positive increase by 3%. The biggest drop in GDP will be among the EU Member States, Romania 8% and Bulgaria 6%.

According to the Bank, the economies in this region will mark an average fall by 6.2%, while next year they will rose by an average 0.7%. The recession has picked in the third quarter of this year, while in the next quarter the recovery will begin but it will be weak and unstable, evaluate experts from the EBRD.
