Hungary registered sharp decline in sales of cars, unlike many other European countries, whose governments have launched programs to support the automotive industry. In August, nearly 2500 cars were sold; last year this period the number of sold cars was 11,000. Unfortunately, the government of Hungary does not take anything on the protection, assistance or encouragement of the industry during the global economic crisis. The country's economy is in the deepest recession in the past 18 years.
