Despite the current economic crisis, Montenegro most probably will be the only country in the Balkan region to report foreign direct investments increase.

In the first six months FDI rose to 400 million euro which is an increase than in the same period last year. The minister of economy reported that this year the country might report record high investments. Results showed that the energy sector is the crucial for the country’s development, so the government decided to invest and focus on increasing the efficiency in this sector.
