Such a significant increase of the unemployment rate in August was not registered since the independence of Croatia.

The rate of registered unemployment for the month of August this year in Croatia is 14.2%, announced the State Statistical Office. This represents an increase by 0.2% from July, or 1.9% compared with August last year, when the unemployment rate was 12.3%.
