The International Monetary Fund plans to enlarge Turkey's credit quota to a level above one percent, Turkish media reported.
This intention was expressed in the statement of the executive director of the Fund, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, who is in Istanbul for the annual meeting of the World Bank and IMF.
Strauss-Kahn and the members of the executive committee of the Fund believe that Turkey had earned the right to increase its quota. The final decision will be made at the IMF's meeting.
