EIB and EBRD will invest in Slovenia’s energy sector

Slovenia will receive strategic financial injection from the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in order to modernize the energy sector. The state electric supply company began a project to build the sixth power block of the power plant “Sostani". The investment amounts €1.1 billion.

The construction will be funded with €500 million loan from the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The remaining funds will be loans from other commercial banks.
