Kosovo's external debt to the World Bank amounts to €16.9 million.With the repayment of €16.9 million on behalf of external debt to the World Bank, Kosovo began to pay loans to foreign creditors which were used at the time of former Yugoslavia.
According to the newspaper, "Express" Kosovo is recognized its debt of 381 million euros from financial institutions within the World Bank, and after signing the membership in this international institution the country agreed that all obligations would be completed by 2031. The government of Kosovo separated 56 million euro from its budget for this year. Meantime, the U.S. gave Kosovo $150 million, while the European Commission granted 5 million euro.
