By the end of 2009, Serbia could pull two tranches in the total amount of 1.4 billion dollars.According to official data, from 2000 the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved four financial arrangements to Serbia in the total amount of about 6.2 billion dollars.
Of this amount, three arrangements totalled $ 1.4 billion, and this was agreed arrangement of around 2.9 billion euros (about 4.3 billion dollars) and another half billion dollars of foreign exchange reserves of the National Bank of Serbia. By the end of 2009, Serbia could pull two tranches in the total amount of 1.4 billion, if given a positive assessment by the IMF mission after the negotiations between the representatives of the government and the Fund are finished. Negotiations will continue until the end of November.
