U.S. computer manufacturer Dell announced on Wednesday it will close its manufacturing plant in North Carolina, where 905 people worked.

Closing the plant should be completed by the end of January, while 600 workers will be laid off in the next month, reports the company's representative.
With this step, Dell is trying to reduce costs by $ 4 billion by the end of 2011.
Crisis and higher competition caused Dell's revenue to decline 22%, while net profit declined by 23%.
