 British Airways announced it would cut 1700 jobs and will freeze remaining salaries in order to try to reduce losses due to global recession.In the financial year, which ended in March, the company, recorded a loss of 401 million pounds, which is the biggest financial deficit since 1987, when the company was privatized.
