According to the projection of the White House the  budget deficit in the fiscal 2009 will be lower than the originaly predicted 1.58 billion dollars.

The main reason is the suspension of financial help for the banks, worth 250 billion dollars

In the period 2010 - 2019 the deficit will be around 9 billion dollars, 2 billion dollars more than the initial projection of the White House in May this year, expressed as a percentage of GDP – 11.2% of GDP.
