The unemployment rate in the leading economies in July totaled 8.5%, same as the month earlier, published the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
Compared with July 2008, the unemployment rate in OECD countries increased by 2.4%.
The U.S. unemployment rate in July 2009 totaled 9.7%, up 0.3% compared to the previous month and up 3.5% compared to the same month last year.
